SiteScanner has been assigned by Metrobloggen to program a transaction robot that runs its own blog. It logs in, posts articles and adds comments just like any regular blogger.
The robot blogger has been in action since 9 September. It is fully customisable and so far remains the only one of its kind. It verifies all the steps that human bloggers have to go through.
- It does all the things a blogger does. It logs in at regular intervals, posts its own articles and leaves comments on other people's blogs,” says Ulf Thorman at SiteScanner.
Metrobloggen is a platform which gives all registered users the chance to make money whenever the blog records more than 5,000 hits during a monthly period. Celebrity Metrobloggers include Frida Fahrman, Sanna Bråding and Alexandra Pascalidou. Availability and good response times are crucial. The purpose of the new robot is to allow Metro Nordic Sweden, which runs the site, to locate where the longest response times are and which upgrades are needed to improve Metrobloggen's performance.
- Thanks to the robot, we can see which changes will allow us to improve even further, says Carl Jinghamre at Metrobloggen.
Many of SiteScanner's customers use the transaction robots for testing booking and e-commerce systems. The robot follows a pre-programmed pattern which corresponds to a regular visitor's routine during the transaction process. SiteScanner can thus produce statistics about which stages in the booking process has the longest response times, or if a transaction cannot be completed at a certain point. Metro Nordic Sweden is first off the mark in using a transaction robot for testing blogs.
- We are excited that Metrobloggen is pioneering the use of this system, says Olle Bodelius, CEO of SiteScanner.
