Measurement of SLA
Monitoring must be tied to the accessibility requirements from a business perspective. Today, there is a gap between market and IT, and there is no requirement formulation concerning accessibility and load time as seen from a user perspective.
Business disruption
Monitoring that forms the basis of SLA reports must be based on real visitor flows, and visitor statistics from, for example, Webtrends, Omniture or other tools provide good information. The whole process needs a level playing field to determine where the focus should lie. This can be attained by linking monitoring to visitor statistics.
Benchmarking
In terms of both accessibility and load time, it is important to benchmark a site in relation to others in the same sector. Even if SLA levels are set, the competitors must be monitored if a business is to lead the sector in the future.
